There’s no denying that Birgit Kos is one of the breakout stars of the Spring Summer ’19 style. She’s walked for the largest fashion homes – Versace, Moschino, Brandon Maxwell, Fendi, Burberry, and Jeremy Scott, to name a few – alluding to the truth she is one of the most in-demand fashions of the moment. They are given up close and private with dreamboat Jamie Dornan in an international campaign for Hugo Boss’ new blockbuster perfume, The Scent Private Accord. GLAMOUR caught up with the rising star to discover how she rose to stardom.
“Modelling isn’t always the maximum secure process.”Birgit may have only been 15 years old when she became approached by extraordinary corporations on her family vacation in Amsterdam; however, she took her time to pursue a modeling career; “Modelling started slowly for me. I wanted to ensure I graduated from faculty earlier than I went complete time, so I always had something to fall back on. Modeling is not the most comfortable task.”
Living with other fashions became the exceptional advent.”
“I went complete-time after I became 17 and moved to Milan in a house with a few new fashions.” And at the sort of younger age to live independently and in a foreign city, Birgit says having buddies there made all the distinction; “We could all assist each other out. We might devour collectively, work out together, and get lost together. I’m so thankful for them all because it can get lonely in no time while you’re in an extraordinary metropolis.”
Those two years spent exploring Milan became an essential growth period for Birgit and helped outline the pinnacle version she is nowadays. “I worked out how I moved as a version, my angles, my walk, and worked out myself within the fashion business – all earlier than I reached a completely professional degree. The hardest element is being far from the circle of relatives.”I tour so much with my process, so I’m far away from private. That’s part of why I greatly cherish fragrance – it is so nostalgic and can deliver anywhere you want. My preferred heady scent is my father’s; each time I odor it, it’s like a massive welcoming hug.”
Acting is an entirely new skill.”Anyone who has seen Birgit in Hugo Boss’ new marketing campaign for The Scent Private Accord will know how much herbal she is on the big screen, but it did not come quite so without problems, as you may think. “The campaign was something new – I needed to step out of my comfort sector,” she says. “When I’m modeling, I’m acting but in static frames. The story is continuous and enduring in the campaign film, so it became an undertaking to express feelings for a prolonged duration, rather than just one image.”

Luckily, the model had co-star and Hollywood heartthrob Jamie Dornan to help her discover her toes. “Jamie helped me as he’s such a superb actor and gave me the time and self-assurance to find out how to find my acting style. He supported me and became an exquisite trainer; I learned a lot by looking at his paintings.”
“I want to do more appearing.”Like many pinnacle models earlier than her (we are looking at you, Cara Delevingne), Birgit is eager to pursue a performing profession and increase her newfound skills. “I need to take extra acting training. Modeling virtually is a high-quality manner to get into the acting enterprise.”
