A 4-year-vintage lady’s “Little Mermaid” hairstyle has been making a splash on social media.
April Castillo desired to go out of doors the box for her daughter Atlantis” “Crazy Hair” day at her Houston Pre-K, so she decided to turn to Pinterest for inspiration.
“I’ve’ continually loved mermaids. My oldest is called Ariel,” Castillo said. “‘”‘ The Little Mermaid” is my favorite Disney movie, so I desired to do something like that for Atlantis” hair.””

Castillo went on Pinterest and found mermaid hairstyles with paper dolls. She doesn’t own a printer and is determined to get creative.
Atlantis already had an Ariel Barbie doll, so Castillo determined to make that the centerpiece of her hairstyle. This changed into the handiest problem.
“We couldn’t find Ariel’s’ bikini top anywhere. We regarded all night,” Castillo stated. “I couldn’t ship her with a topless doll in her hair, so my husband cut a tiny bikini pinnacle out of tape and colored it crimson.”(MORE: Let Disney’s brand new mermaid donut dash your world.)
Castillo completed the appearance with a few green cleanable hair paints and despatched Anastasia off to school. When she finished, she sent the pics to her family organization text, including her teenage daughter, Ariel Romero.
What happened next shocked them each.
Castillo received a call from Romero that afternoon announcing, “I suppose Anastasia goes viral. I published the photograph of her hair on Twitter this morning. It’s’ been shared 10,000 times.”
“She instructed me her Twitter became crashing,” Castillo said. “I am still in disbelief.”
Romero said her sister became devastated when taking her mermaid hairdo down and insisted that her mom permit her to wear it to her gymnastics exercise that night.
Thankfully, Castillo has been able to recreate the magic for Atlantis.
“I’ve’ done the hair fashion two times because loopy hair day at school because Atlantis loved it a lot,” Castillo stated.
